This travel bug is dedicated to Dan Gurney, a great American race car driver. During the 1960's Gurney competed successfully in the NASCAR stock car racing circuit, the International Formula One racing series, nine Indy 500 Champ Car races, as well as occasional Can-AM, Trans-am, and Le Mans races. He retired from racing in the early 70's, but stayed involved as an Indy car team owner for a decade.
The car is a model of Gurney’s 1963 Ford Galaxie Holman & Moody #28 NASCAR Race Car which was powered by a 427 cubic-inch FORD NASCAR V8 engine delivering 450+ horsepower. It had a four-speed Ford top-loader transmission, a 9-inch Ford rear, and Full Holman-Moody NASCAR preparation including HD frame, suspension brakes, wheels and driver safety equipment.
This travel bug is a reissue of a TB tag that went missing a couple years ago. Please help this car race from cache to cache and be sure to properly log it in and out of caches and keep it moving.
