A very cool purple 3000 find award coin.
A year ago, I found my 1000th cache at the 11-11-11 event in Rachel, Nevada at 11:11 am on the ET Highway. I didn't know a soul there, but Chester the dog and I were on a road trip, doing some caching in the area and I pressed myself to attend. It was nice. A couple had flown in from the East coast to have their wedding as well so geocachers and wedding mixed at the Little A'Le'Inn and it was quite the event. Snow flurries dusted us later as we continued to cache.
The next year I was blessed with the ability to do many road trips, camping expeditions, and one Epic 38 day/10 state trip. Caching continued and I challenged myself to have fun and do it big. Exactly a year after that 1000th find, I have achieved my 3000th find, and my 121st day of streaking, which was celebrated at my first hosted event, Veteran's Day - Cache, Bash & Crash CITO,
