Goodbye Owl Geocoin, it’s time to let you go. Another day, another event in London. Another thing I’ll miss. This one was to help Goldpot celebrate 30,000 finds. My last event at a J D Wetherspoon pub, a British pub company operating in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Ireland. The cain is more commonly called Wetherspoons or just and Spoons). It is and famed for its cheap beer, sticky floors, far away toilets, and often beautiful repurposed buildings. The name of the business originates from JD Hogg, a character in The Dukes of Hazzard, and Wetherspoon, the surname of one of the founder’s teachers in New Zealand, who was known to not be able to control his classroom. Team HATWAG wrapped up the weekend away by finishing the challenge caches and adding some pole caches near Horsebridge, not far King’s Somborne. A great time away but this was the last one. I’ll really miss everyone. 😢

Dragging you over to Wimbledon for a CITO. We were picking up rubbish in Cannizaro Park on the south-western edge of Wimbledon Common. It is known for its ornamental landscaped gardens with ponds and sculpture. The park was pretty clean so I guess the Wombles had been there before us. 🚮

Hello Owl Geocoin, I picked you up from inside a tree in Hammersmith. You are looking a bit worse for wear! Hammersmith is an artsy riverside area, home to eclectic productions at the Lyric theatre and rock shows at the Apollo concert hall. Busy shops and cafes line King Street and fill the Kings Mall, while trendy gastropubs contrast with historic drinking dens like the Dove.
