Hello, Stranger! I'm Major Snares the Penguin, reporting for duty. I have a mission to scout out my bretheren, the penguins in New Zealand! I need a picture as proof, and then I can report back to home base. Snares the Penguin - Steampunk Geocoin

The Snares penguin (Eudyptes robustus), also known as the Snares crested penguin and the Snares Islands penguin, is a penguin from New Zealand. The species breeds on The Snares, a group of islands off the southern coast of the South Island.This penguin nests in small (10 nests) to large (1200 nests) colonies under forest cover or the open. The main colonies are located on North East Island, other colonies are established on Broughton Island as well as the rocky Western Chain. The Snares penguin's main prey is krill, supplemented by squid and small fish. The species is currently rated as vulnerable by the IUCN as its breeding range is restricted to one small island group. The current population is estimated at around 25,000 breeding pairs.

Ok first of all to all of you, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that it took me so long to send these discover logs in. I decided to clean out my phone with over 2k pics in it, many of the inside of my pocket, or a random TB I have seen along my travels, forgotten to log. Maybe you shared your new TB on one of the few geocaching groups I follow on facebook, maybe I saw you or your car at an event, or a mega (I would like to narrow that down, but with more than 30 states traveled to in the last 5 years I really don't know. If I double log the find on your tag, please don't worry it only counts as one find, I'm sorry for the extra emails, and I am clearing out the photos as I log to try to limit the confusion. Lastly, thank you to EVERYONE who put out the TB's for everyone to find and enjoy! I do enjoy seeing each and every one of these, and hope it has a fantastic journey!

I apologize for the late log. I have a bunch of pics in my phone of TB codes and I finally have a minute to log what I have. I discovered this one on a road trip out west or maybe at an event or in a TB hotel or even in the hands of the owner. Either way, I've seen this one personally and am finally logging the discovery.
