Here in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the cold and snow extend from autumn thru spring. Take me to warmer places so I can enjoy some sunshine on behalf of all all the chilly Yoopers!
I don't mind detours - I can handle your frigid weather excursions, too.
Have fun out there, and share some photos if your fingers aren't frozen!
I'm a Holiday Travel Bug (green mug with a candy cane and something warm and tasty) paired with a silver circular charm.

We headed a few miles southwest along the coast to a park in Gladstone with a great view of the sunset. The kids sprinted straight to the playground while I checked out the cache and snapped a few photos. I found the hiding spot quickly, but had to climb the tree to reach the container! Took a few more pics until my fingers froze, and eventually managed to convince the kids it was time to go. We’ll be back!

My daughters suggested a road trip today, and I knew we couldn’t go wrong with a destination near Culver’s or a playground. These can be few and far between in some parts of the U.P., so we settled on Lake Michigan, and this cache in Rapid River was our first stop. I’ve noticed this attraction from the road many times but had never pulled over to explore it. In addition to the crane, dog and mosquito sculptures, we saw a live young buck crossing the road. Fun!
