Mission: The Salem Witch Museum

This spooky, scary skeleton is on a spooky pilgrimage to Salem, Massachusetts, home of the Salem Witch Museum and the Witch Trials Memorial.

He wants to learn about the legends, superstitions, and strange history that made Salem one of the most haunted places in America.
If you can, take him along on your travels — especially to eerie, historic, or Halloween-themed caches!
He loves foggy graveyards, candlelit streets, creepy forests, and anywhere with a good ghost story.

Once he finally reaches Salem, please help him visit or be photographed near the Salem Witch Museum, Old Burying Point Cemetery, or any other spooky landmark before letting him continue his eternal wandering.

Meet Will E. Befound — The Wandering Skeleton

Once upon a foggy October night, deep in a cluttered workshop lit only by a flickering soldering iron, a small 3D printer whirred to life.
Layer by layer, bone by bone, something began to take shape…

When the final print cooled and the lights dimmed, a tiny skeleton stretched, cracked his joints, and whispered:

“Well, I will be found someday… right?”

Thus was born Will E. Befound, a curious little skeleton who refused to stay buried. With his shiny travel tag and a restless spirit, he set off into the world — not to haunt, but to hunt for adventure.

We’ve been hearing voices off and on all day. Most of them were friendly, some sounded like a cat on a trip to the vet, and some were definitely only in my head. I try to ignore those. Sometimes successfully. At first I thought the voice I was hearing as we approached the geomobile was one of those. It was only after we reached the car that it became obvious that the Chuckyisque voice was not in my head. It was coming from a skeleton trying to open the door and sneak into the car. As if hypnotized we grabbed the little guy and took him with us, not sure if this was a good idea or not but we couldn’t stop ourselves. Time will tell if we will live to regret this….
