This hitchhiker is running in a Travel Bug Race named Great TB Journey 2014-15 (GTJ15). http://www.gbgc.jp/TBtracker2015/
GTJ15 starts in Tokyo in December 2014, and the final goal is that this is dropped off to the event cache which is scheduled to be held at Tokyo in December 2015.
I hope that it goes around caches in the world as much as possible in the race.
