Current Goal

To visit the wide open spaces everywhere, especially where cowboys (or their equivalents in other countries) ruled.

Especially to be photographed in settings and places popularized by Louis L'Amour, and with cows.

About This Item

This is one reason the Wild West was tamed: barbed wire. This particular piece was patented by William Edenborn (patent #313,929) in 1885, and is just one of over 1,500 known variations of patented barbed wire. More information is available at "antiquebarbedwiresociety.com".

I picked this piece up at a cache somewhere on a trip out west. It was placed by "bob8bear Team", and they are watching its travels with interest.

The only cow I could find on Rugia near a cache, was this reflector.

I will retrieve the bug online as soon as it is placed in the right cache. Today I picked it up from Dinosaur Train Velociraptor (GC26VRH) - not from PnP (GC29JPF) - and will bring it to Europe now.
