It is the privilege of The Devon Dragons to launch this trackable in the loving memory of our Granny/Great-Granny Cynthia. We would like it to trace back the journey of her life. It is starting in Dunwich near the church where the ashes of John, our Grandad/Great-Grandad are buried and near the house that saw many happy occasions including the party to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. From here we would like it to go first to Cambridge, UK - a photo on Jesus Green would be lovely! From there to Hyde Bank, Romiley, near Stockport, UK. Next it should go to Putney, London, UK where she lived at Lower Common South and to Hampstead, London where she lived at Chesterfield Gardens.
Now we leave the UK and we would like it to visit three locations in Athens, Greece - Kifissia, Philothei and Glyfada. And also to the Island Aegina.
Another jump now to Famagusta on Cyprus before heading back to Greece - Thessaloniki in the North this time
Back in time now we have reached World War II and we would like the trackable to head to Italy where she spent time as part of an ENSA troupe and as a V.A.D. Nurse.
The final destination is Jerusalem - her birthplace in what was then Palestine. Please take the trackable to St Georges Cathedral where she married John and at last to Katamon, Jerusalem where she spent her childhood and was born back in 1923!
There is no urgency to complete this mission. It took nearly 90 years in real life! And we are happy for the trackable to make detours to anywhere in the world - it would be very much in character! Cynthia loved to travel and had friends and family all over the world. We can be sure that wherever the trackable goes it will not be far from a treasured memory or perhaps a dear friend will walk past.
