Taken from another Greensboro cache but not Drawn to Caching, unfortunately. We couldn't find the trail. It will be released to continue its tour.

Found this JEEP TB in one of my owned caches today . . . the third I have had in my hands, the other two I just passed on to other states/cities to give them maximum exposure. Today, I wanted to share a thought about the joy I have had in 4x4 adventures as a small farmer and off-road enthusiast. Primarily, I do not believe that 4x4 units are ever supposed to be on a pavement and mine almost NEVER are. With the goats & cattle on my farm, the 4x4 is the only way to find them, fence them and protect them - a very moist and hilly environ with lots of low wet places is what a 4x4 desires and the farm offers. Never had a Jeep to play with but an F150 & K5 Blazer have served well. I want to try a Jeep to see if it performs as well as all the other five Chrysler products I have owned in the past 20 years. Can a Jeep work a farm in NC, pulling trailers & a boat, hauling equipment, loading stock, towing stuck equipment out of bogs - who can say -LET'S JUST TRY IT!

    The Ancient One
    Found 10-11-04; 1625

Today being Columbus Day I decided to spend the afternoon doing a little exploration. My mission was to find a Jeep TB located in the Ancient One Cache to move along its journey to the Mid-Atlantic region of the country. Parking was tough around the Ancient One today so I had a nice hike through the old quarry area to get to the cache. Being unfamiliar with the area and in a hurry I took a short-cut off the main trail depending on my GPS Compass to lead the way. With the thought in my mind that the quickest way to a point is a straight line I headed straight for the coordinates. How bad can it get this is a semi-developed area. Ha, think again……Big Mistake! This decision had me breaking brush and wading through the marsh to get to this cache. Imagine my surprise when I broke through the brush over an hour later to find the right trail, wow! Thought I was going to need my Jeep to pull me out a couple of times. As I arrived at the site a young boy about 8 or so upon seeing my disarray and GPS in my hand said, "Hey Mister, you looking for the cache? It’s right here." The fastest way from point A to point B is not always a straight line. Anyway, all is well that ends well. Found the cache as described. Signed log, took Jeep TB, and left Springy Travel Tag. Great exercise, great hide, TFTC. Went straight home and hit the showers, lol!
