I found him in a Parking lot,while geochaching, in Tennessee,USA still in his McDonald’s bag.

Carlo Collodi, the author of The story of Pinocchio,was the pen name of Carlo Lorenzini,Who was born and grew up in Florence. The last part of his pen name was the name of the Tuscan village where Lorenzini's mother was born: Collodi.

Now that Pinocchio has achieved his European goals, it is time to start his trip back to Tennessee. Dirt_digger and I will be returning to the Rochester, NY area next week, and find a nice cache to place him in.
