Flysaa Travel Bug

In December 2002, I fulfilled a lifelong dream of taking a trip to Africa. I traveled with an astronomical tour group that visited South Africa to witness the total solar eclipse of December 4, 2002. I took lots of pictures but brought back very few souvenirs.

I somehow managed to keep several of those pre-moistened refresher hand towels that were passed out along with the meals on the 15+ hour flight from Atlanta to Johannesburg, South Africa. Since this little souvenir already traveled with me more than halfway around the world I thought I would turn one into a travel bug and see what other parts of the world it could visit.

FlySAA is attending the "International Passenger Aviation Association" Annual Conference. He stood in the registration line behine US Air and overheard the conference coordinator indicating his credit card was no good and demanding payment in advance. Lufthaunsa arrived looking as healthy as ever. Delta seemd to have lost a lot of weight from last year. He noticed ATA name badge on the table having never been picked up. Swiss Air was sipping on a hot chocolate, while SAS was warming by the fire.

KLM could be heard telling everyone about the fake bomb the TSA folks let onboard its flight to Amsterdam.
