About This Item

Flysaa Travel Bug

In December 2002, I fulfilled a lifelong dream of taking a trip to Africa. I traveled with an astronomical tour group that visited South Africa to witness the total solar eclipse of December 4, 2002. I took lots of pictures but brought back very few souvenirs.

I somehow managed to keep several of those pre-moistened refresher hand towels that were passed out along with the meals on the 15+ hour flight from Atlanta to Johannesburg, South Africa. Since this little souvenir already traveled with me more than halfway around the world I thought I would turn one into a travel bug and see what other parts of the world it could visit.

Dropped Off 11/5/2006 geo-joy placed it in Tram Peak Hong Kong - 8,764.54 miles  Visit Log

Enroute to Asia I planned to drop bug off at the Anchorage TB Drop but it was dark, 9 degrees F and snowing enough to cover up any cache clues. Wanted to send bug on its way to the remote Alaska but it wasn't to be. Soooooooo....Continued to Hong Kong and left the Bug near a tourist spot cache not for the faint hearted. It is now resting overlooking Hong Kong at Tram Peak. Enjoy the journey.
