Current Goal

This travel bug has a two-part mission. First, we would like it to be placed in a cache near Dumfries, Scotland. Second, we would like it to be placed in a cache in Silver City, Idaho. Please send pictures of the bug's journey, especially of Dumfries. I've never seen the land of my roots.

About This Item

My great-great grandmother, Katherine Pryor Pierce was born in Dumfries Scotland. At the age of 18, she left Scotland and sailed to America, landing in New York. She then sailed around the horn of South America to San Francisco, where she married John Bradford Pierce. John and Katherine were genuine Idaho pioneers, being among the residents when Idaho became a state in 1890. They mined in both Idaho City and Silver City before settling on a farm in the Boise valley.

We have placed Remember Katherine in The Tor Tour. Sorry for the delay in it carrying on it's journey. We have been to Australia for 3 months and it came with us and came back (Forget GPS). Hope it gets to Dumfries. Too cold up there for us. - The Goodies - goody goody yum yum
