Currently Apollo Joe hasn’t even made it to Florida yet for the launch. Help him get there in time for blast off!
Apollo Joe wants to blast off to the Moon and then return to Earth! His Saturn V rocket is sitting on the launch pad in Cape Canaveral, Florida, so snap a picture of him at the "Kennedy Space Center" Virtual Cache [GCBD49], which has had a name change to "STS-107 Columbia", and post it with your log.
Then it's off to the "Craters of the Moon National Monument" Virtual Cache [GCH0QX] in Idaho. If you have a small American flag for Joe to plant in the soil of the Moon, that would be great! I've seen toothpicks with flags attached for sale around Independence Day. You could even make one! Post a picture of Apollo Joe on the Moon!
Now it's time for splashdown in the Pacific. Get Apollo Joe to the "Pacific Beach" Webcam Cache [GCHX3M] in San Diego, California. In addition to satisfying the webcam cache goal, take a picture of Joe landing in the water, and post it with your log. Home at last!
Finally Apollo Joe wants to return to Houston, Texas to thank all of the mission controllers. Drop him off in the "SPACE MOTEL" Cache [GC1K2K8] next to the Johnson Space Center for his friends to welcome him home! Then I can put him on my shelf and tell everyone he's been to the Moon!
If you aren't completing one of Apollo Joe's cache goals, he still wants pictures of himself with the Moon in the background. Although the Moon is easier to spot at night, you can often find it during the day. Snap a picture and post it!
