About This Item

I found this locking 'biner in heavy undergrowth at Mission Trails Regional Park in San Diego, CA. It has seen heavy use and the locking barrel is oxidized, so it is time to retire this piece from active climbing.

    When we found this, the tag was separate from the carabiner. Because the cacher who dropped it had called it a "climbing TB" we figured out which item in the cache the tag had been attached to, and reunited them. I'll post a picture of Bruneau Canyon where we found it (woudn't want to climb those rocks!), and try to find another appropriate place to leave it soon.
