The goal of "Michigan Copper" is to visit the main U. S. States and Canadian Provinces that were/are key copper producers. These include the states of Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Montana, Nevada, and Michigan as well as the Provinces of British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, and Manitoba. Please take a photo of the bug in each state or province visited and post with the log entry.
"Michigan Copper" is a small piece of native Michigan float copper that was found near the site of the former Copper Range Company Stamp Mill in the tiny former milling town of Freda in Michigan's upper Peninsula. Freda is located at the in the Copper Range District which runs along the spine of the Keewenaw Peninsula near the south shore of Lake Superior.
