May 2004 update: I heard that some TB Angels have revived my friend Twigs and he's on his way home now. Now it's a race to get back home!

December 2003 update: Yay, I reached my goal! Sad to say that it looks like my friend Twigs the Giraffe got giraffe-napped near our home. :-( We were racing to England because our favorite artist, Mackenzie Thorpe, lives and works there. I didn't get to meet him, but I was happy to see his shop at least. Now it's time to go home again. Please help me find my way back to California!

We picked up EWEY at a "Fairlie Easy" cache in Scotland and decided to bring him to the states with us so that he can get back home to California.

When we found the cache things didn’t look too good at first. We opened the black bin bag and water literally poured out of it, we where expecting a very soggy mess. All I can say is thank you for watertight ammo boxes… EWEY and the rest of the cache contents where bone dry. ;0)

  • Ewey looks towards Richmond. Ewey had made it to Richmond!! He rests in a cache on a hillside overlooking Swaledale just 2 miles from the gallery.

  • Ewey resting in the cachebox. The excitement is too much for him and he has had to have a lie down!
  • The monuments. Ewey is close to these monuments erected throughout the ages to commemorate the miraculous survival of Robert Willance who in 1606 rode his horse over the edge whilst hunting in bad weather and fell 200ft but survived.
  • Finally - the artist's shop! This is Finkle Street in Richmond and there is his shop!
