Here is a pic of the bug w/ some local fossils from where it was last picked up. The ammonite was about 60 ft from the cache in Tandy Hills Park located in Fort Worth, Texas. It is from the Cretaceous period, about 100 million years ago, when a shallow sea covered this area. It is now in a cache overlooking a recent find of dinosaurs, turtles and crocodiles from the same time period. There is a recent Fort Worth Star-telegram story about it.
