There are many claims about the origin of peanut butter. Africans ground peanuts into stews as early as the 15th century. The Chinese have crushed peanuts into creamy sauces for centuries. Civil War soldiers dined on 'peanut porridge.' These uses, however, bore little resemblance to peanut butter as it is known today.

The mission of this geocoin is to travel to famous peanut butter places such as St. Louis, MO; Battle Creek, Michigan; Columbus, OH; the Tuskeegee Institute in Alabama; California; and other peanut butter loving places throughout the U.S. and the world.

Discovered this in the honorable hands of the Wisconsin Geocaching Association's president. We were out on a mission to complete the Star Wars series in Menomonee Falls. This TC will be placed towards the end of our adventure.

found the coin in Chucky's 3-pt shot... gave the holder two weeks to drop it but that didn't happen so I am grabbing it from them.
Nice to see a coin that has been around for a time, hope for many more miles for this traveler.
It did visit a peanut butter loving spot - my kitchen!

Picked this up from Old McDonald Had A... Out on an overnight trip to Door county with KJH and her BF. Decided to see if we could pick up Brown and Door counties in our quest to find a cache in each of the 72 in WI.
Will place again no later than next weekend! By the way, we LOVE peanut butter!
