Current Goal

I want to visit lots of railway stations and have my picture taken beside the signs showing their names, stopping off in caches along the way for a breather.

Chuga puffed his way up the tallest tower in the world today all the way to the Skypod at 1,465 ft. He clearly has more sense than me though as he politely declined to venture out onto the glass floor. I'm glad we had nice weather as when the wind gets up, the tower can move by up to 1m! I wonder what wonders he will see next?! Bud

Finally I have managed to get Chuga to a station. This is him in the company of my friend The Pink Lady outside Union Station in Toronto, Ontario. He managed to meet some very large relatives as well and was as surprised as me to discover the trains are double-decked over here. He will be going up in the world tomorrow. Bud

Chugga went climbing in the Peak District and ended up in assisting in a rescue. Grumpy 793 managed to fall from the dizzying height of 4 feet, but that didn't stop him splitting his head open and leaving significant amounts of skin on the beautiful gritstone of Stanage Edge. I wish Chugga was a real train as he could have carried all the kit back to the car instead of me. I made the mistake of mentioning that we were near a cache as we limped back down the hill and Grumpy insisted we find it before taking him to casualty!! The story has a happy ending though as all the kings horses and all the kings men managed to glue Grumpy back together again. See cache log for gore photo.

Chugga enjoyed the trip to this cache as it was all downhill, however on the way back he insisted on riding in my rucksack. He has a little growing to do if he is to be really useful as a geo-caching companion! Off back to Blighty next as there were very few other local caches and the local food was too tasty! Not long now till the grande journee. Bud

Chugga's first overseas trip took him to France, in particularly, Brittany where he enjoyed a very chilled out weekend sampling cheese, spicy sausage and maybe a little wine. He didn't even feel ill on the ferry, which is more than I can say for The Nettie Monster! Photo's to follow soon, Bud.
