About This Item

Blinkin' Bone Bug

I am a flashing dog bone reflector that used to belong to Buddy. I only flash when moved and then only in the dark. I come with a log book and pen. Please log your help in the book so that our family can experience the fun of geocaching too!

When I arrive at the Saw Mill Cache, My family will pick me up. Thank you for being apart of my journey. I couldn't do it myself... none of us is as strong as all of us!

Friends of Buddy. (Woof!)

The Bone and his Log Book - or should I say Dog Book?, will soon be reunited. I've spiced up the log book a little so hopefully the will not be separated again.

The Bone had to leave Santa Rosa in a hurry and left his travel bug Log Book behind. We took the book home with us in order to help it catch up with Bony. Any finder who plans on holding this bug for a few days can email a mailing address to us and will send it right out. If uncomfortable with this you can get us the address of a Mail Boxes Etc or similar service near you.

Interesting that this bug is traveling to Wisconsin to a cacher's family member. We flew to Wisconsin in June and released a travel bug with instructions to send it to family members in Seattle. Cool!

Heading south a bit... so I stopped by the WAITING FOR THE MAIL cache and looked thru the stash there (quite a few bugs in there)..

Anyway, only one of them was blinking...so I figured this had to be the one.

Grabbed the bone and headed towards Monterey where it now sits, buried in the sand, but presumably still blinking... at the GOOD FRIDAY cache. A nice location and plenty of dogs in the area....Now it just needs someone to come dig it up.

We found this at the family cache. We'll do our part to help it get to Wisconsin...maybe we'll drop it at the airport.

Found the Blinkin Bone this morning - he will come home and hang out with us and our cats for a little while before we take him at least a little bit north or east.

Finally got the durned thing to blink - couldn't do it in the bright sun by the cache, but at home, with the lights out... now to see what the cats think of it!
