Toots and I nabbed this guy before daybreak on our way to Bend, our weekend vacation getaway, this weekend. With it comes a short story:
6:45 Retrieved Butch's Labonte Bug
6:58 Noticed slight slipperyness on I-5. Slowed down
7:01 Started sliding across the 3 Southbound lanes and slammed into median
7:02 "I'm sorry Honey..."
7:03 911 call
7:46 Little bald guy in green Honda collides into us
8:16 Police finally arrive...
9:00 ...
10:00 In police car, without cuffs, still waiting for tow truck from 7:03 call
10:40 Arrived at tow yard
11:20 Arrived at Jubitz Truck stop for coffee and doughnuts and strategerizing
12:30 Arranged for rental car
1:30 Cab ride to airport for rental car
1:50 Arrive to get rental car
2:00 Slow drive home ;) (Toots didn't mind the slowness)
2:40 Drive by accident scene and notice pieces of my Honda (headlight, grill) in Northbound Lane
2:45 Arrive at neighborhood coffee shop
2:50 Walk in front door to the suprise of Thor and Copa, the kitties.
Oh well, better luck next weekend....
