About This Item

UNPROFOR (Retired)

This TB started life with the Canadian Peace Keeping force in Croatia. It stopped functioning when the internal energy source (batteries) burst and retirement was inevitable. It is looking forward to retirement and exploring the far reaches of the world.

We don't have any of the seven wonders of the world here, but we do have plenty of dramatic and spectacular thermal activity - geysers, mud pools etc and before the Tarawera eruption of 1886, the area was home to the world famous pink and white terraces (sometimes regarded as another "wonder of the world'. We found this TB in one of our very well known areas of thermal activity and will attempt to get a photograph for you today, then pass the TB along to one of our other New Zealand jewels.

Picked up from a dark little hidey-hole beside the river. We'll let it see the light again before we move it on.
