Winnie the Poop Deck commandered our vessel as we headed back to the mainland from Blake Island. While he enjoyed the voyage on Puget Sound, complete with sunning sea lions on a buoy and a Coast Guard Auxiliary inspection (we hid Poop Deck--the Coast Guard wouldn't understand)--he's now landlocked as, alas, we were only borrowing the boat today. You can take the pirate out of the sea, but you can't take the sea out of the pirate...watch for more adventures!

Winnie spent a couple of days in the confluence cache, watching for the sockeye salmon turning out of the Columbia River into the Wenatchee River. He got homesick for salt water, since he's an old PiRat, and asked to go back to Puget Sound.

We found Winnie in Promenade Left in White Rock. He asked to come along with us on holiday to continue his adventures. Travelled with us to Barkley Sound, stopping by his old home at Hundred Acre Wood for a brief visit. He then passed through Victoria, and hid under the back seat of the car to get through US customs. Came back to Wenatchee, WA with us, but doesn't like it here on the dry side, and requests we bring him back to Puget Sound with us next weekend, to continue his Pi Rat career...stay tuned!!!

Well Winnie the Poop Deck and I've been having a good time around Nanaimo. I also saw to it that his training as a Pirate continued and competed his look more in keeping with being a representative of the Scurvey lot.
