Current Goal

PLEASE - DO NOT KEEP THIS TB!

MOVE IT ON WITHOUT DELAY!

To travel the world and see all sorts of pools, lakes, rivers, beaches and other places for swimming.
I want to meet lots of cachers and see lots of places and have my photo taken near those places.
I don't like staying in one place too long so please move me quickly to another cache.

AND (since 2nd February, 2015)  to collect metal tags, trinkets and charms along the way

About This Item

BCASC Gold Medal

This TB commenced its travels in 2007 and has a history:

I won the original gold medal in the early 1960s when I was a member of the Bathurst City Amateur Swimming Club in Bathurst, NSW, Australia.

The original gold medal went missing while the tag travelled its first 54441.7 kilometres and was replaced in February 2015 with another gold medal that I won - the Junior Womens Championship. I now only have a few of these left for my grandchildren so won't be able to replace this gold medal if it goes missing like the first one did.

The Vans tag that someone attached (in place of the original medal)  has now been joined by several other tags and trinkets and the number will hopefully grow.

Please add more tags and trinkets and send the TB on its way in another geocache soon.

Hey, I like to swim too. It's my favorite sport, even though I'm a very slow swimmer. Thanks for sharing your medel.

Thanks camnpete for putting this here. I too think this is just a beautiful area. (sardine lake) even tho I have only been coming here for 2 years. good memories!
I will be taking the TB to either Utah or Arizona. I almost think that the beautiful areas of the Wasatch Mountains should be it's next home!
Only time will tell.... should only be about 3 weeks.

  • Lower Sardine Lake and the Sierra Buttes I know this travel bug loves to be near water. The Sardine Lake cache is on a 4WD road that goes between Lower Sardine Lake and Upper Sardine Lake. In my humble opinion, (admittedly biased base on over 50 years of visiting this area) this is the most beautiful spot in California. This picture shows Lower Sardine Lake and the Sierra Buttes mountains. We traveled to Australia last October and loved seeing the beautiful scenery there. I hope the owners of this TB would consider visiting Califo
