Current Goal

AMPed is willing to go anywhere he can fit, which leaves out urban micro-caches. AMPed is most interested in going to caches at or near the tops of mountain peaks, where the possibility of a lightning strike is greatest, so he can check his AMPacity.

About This Item

AMPed is a very large fuse. In his previous job he was protecting a 50 HP well-pump motor, and somewhere along the line he lost his label. I suspect his AMPacity is probably 600 or so, but who knows? Obviously AMPed needs a big cache to hang out in (.30cal ammo can or better). If there isn't enough room inside the box, he's not afraid to wait outside the container for his next ride.AMPed

Met with backroads2010 today, to exchange another TB. Had fun 'discovering' all the neat trackables she was moving around! This one is very cool, and well made!

Found this near the 10-10-10 cache series near the Pima County Fairgrounds. This is quite a fuse.

Did this series of 10 caches that a local cacher set up for the 10-10-10 geocaching birthday last October. Had a great time in the flat desert with wonderful views of the snowy Santa Catalina mountains north of us. The ten caches are laid out in the desert in the shape of a number ten! Fun, easy enough, and great friiends, what more could one ask for? Check the map view to see what it looks like!!

A quick stop here running errands. Thought the jeep was a cool one in front of the Army Surplus store!

Woohoo, that's a big one! I must have looked rather odd carrying that out of the bushes at the park when I picked it up from the cache! Will figure out where to send this next, where there is enough room and load bearing capability!

Oh wow, just realized it was released to the wild 5 years ago today! Happy Birthday, AMPed! All grown up now...sniff.

Young Triskele pounced on this when he saw it in the basket at the 10 Years camping trip--he says it's the coolest travel bug ever. I'll see that he finds a good home for it! 🙂
