Blue finally gets back to Washington state. I got sick two weeks ago and had to cancel my flight for my dad's birthday. This time we made the flight and brought Blue along. Placed him in The Old School cache which is the site of the former Richmond Beach High School that my mom graduated from. Blue did get a chance to test the Red Hook ESB before jumping into the new cache.

Big Blue is having a ball on the Mendocino Coast. Visited two great microbreweries and had the occasion to open several award-winning beers.

Red Tail Ale. From THE oldest of the still functioning California microbreweries. This is the grandparent of all California microbrews.

Acme. This is a beer label from the 1920's that was very popular in its day. The North Coast Brewing Company of Fort Bragg, CA bought the sole rights to brew this beer.

Old Rasputin. Blue says this is the best stout anyone in his family has ever opened. Multi award-winning stout and Blue loves the label. Another great NCBC product.

Big Blue is now on the Mendocino coast for a nine day visit before heading to Shoreline, Washington and possibly some Ballard Bitter.

But last night Blue was very pleased with North Coast Brewing Company's Red Seal Ale. Says it will be very hard to top this beer for flavor.

Blue Foot arrived in California after a flight delay so it stayed the night at Granzell's Inn in Williams. Opened a cold Negra Modelo. Good beer, Blue Foot likes it.
