Found this interesting bug in Moncton and are heading for points west.

  • Crown Cap atop Mount Tolmie I took a little side trip today to photograph Crown Cap beside a B.C. surveyed benchmark on top of Mount Tolmie in Victoria that figures in some complex caches by Team KFWB GPS. As I pressed the shutter I heard an unmistakably American voice say "What are you doing?". I looked up. A tour bus with Oregon plates was idling across the road and a group of about twenty elderly ladies was standing a couple of metres away, all looking at me with interest. "It's for a treasure hunt" said I.

I tried two different "recorded" cap locations. One was a church that had been demolished 10 years ago (boy, did we look stupid) and the other was too far off our trail to visit.)

Then there were the blackflies and mosquitos....
