In 1919 Captain John Alcock and Lieutenant Arthur Whitten Brown made the first non-stop aerial crossing of the Atlantic. (Lindburgh flew solo, but A&B were first.) They covered 1,980 miles in 16 hours and 12 minutes before landing near Clifden, Ireland on June 15.
And exactly 84 years later, after traveling nearly 23,000 miles and crossing the Atlantic twice Sean, the Jet Fighter, was collected from a cache overlooking the Alcock and Brown landing site.
First goal complete! 😁
On to the world!!
