Visit as many caches as possible near trestles and non motor vehicle bridges. Collecting pictures of same would be great.
The 2007 British Columbia Geocoin is ready! This coin features 3D art of the Kinsol Trestle located in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. Tom Spetter from Cyan Design has created the First Nation and traditional wildlife side of the coin while Chris has created the 3D side. This trestle is the largest railway trestle of its kind in the British Commonwealth! It is part of the Trans Canada Trail, but it has yet to be used as a link in the TC Trail because it is in a state of disrepair. At the end of the day, it's fate is in the hands of the CVRD. We want to raise awareness of the Kinsol Trestle and its ability to be a tourism draw to the Cowichan Valley. The financial spin off to the region of a restored original Kinsol Trestle in terms of pure tourism dollars brought in is invaluable. In addition, our goal is for this coin to be a lasting memory of the original Kinsol Trestle, a historical jewel in the Cowichan Valley.

Saw this little one on a photo from Arael who told me the story behind this little baby. He saw it prior the Hurricane Maria hit the island but did not took it from the cache. After the hurricane, he went back and the cache was no longer there, so probably the only thing remaining from the coin is that last photo.

The Day after Hurricane Irma hit the island, I searched pervious location of geocache and it was not found. Perhaps the geocoin was lost. Please take action or report if lost.

Sorry it took so long. I picked it up in Hawaii and knew I we were heading to Fort Worth that has a huge railhead, but no luck. I even took to Iowa and back. However I figure crossing an ocean and landing near an old railway tunnel.

this is the oldest cache on the island of Hawaii!
Sorry did not get to visit any non-auto trestles with your TB. But hopefully you enjoyed seeing it visit some fun, unusual and a couple of older caches. Happy trails, um, trestles to you!
