AGM-65

The AGM-65 Maverick Guided Missile (GM) is an air-to-surface missile used against such targets as armour, air-defenses, ships, supply convoys and fuel installations. It uses both infra-red (IR) and laser to acquire targets. It has two types of warheads; an anti-armour shaped charge with point-detonating fuse and a heavy-weight (bunker busting) warhead which uses kinetic energy and a time-delay fuse to defeat its target. All forms of the AGM-65 use a solid propellant rocket booster located directly behind the warhead.
