AMTG GW5 Sunburst Silver GC 1

Mid size coin with little heft. 1.75 inches 3.5 mm thick silver.  Available in other metyal colors. The front and reverse of this coin have slight etched 3-D work. The stain glass medallion shows a sunburst in bright colors. The rim has script that says "GW5". The design is very nice and the colors compliment each other and the metal color but it is very delicate and easily damaged. The rim has the compass directions. Very nice design. OK coin.

Info on the coin:  Well.. its that time! Time for us to finally spill the beans on our GW5 contribution to the Geocoin Community! This coin has been in the making for several months now - It popped into my head when I was thinking of something unique for the event...I had hoped that it could be done, and the process was one that was pretty complex, and we went through a few stressful moments over whether it COULD be done and, would it be in time!? We waited to let everyone know about them - until they came in. Which I just received note from Castle Man - they JUST arrived. We hope you all like it as much as we do.

Now, for specifics. The coin is going to be available during GW5, and after the event - to the public. We aren't sure if all metals will be reminted after the first run, so get those at the event while you can! We will also have matching pins available!  Both Castle Man and myself are EXTREMELY proud of this coin. (Designed by me :laughing: , minted by Castle Man!).

So many of my trackables have been muggled that I only release new GCs as virtuals. If you do not approve, please leave it in the cache for a cacher who understands. Thanks. IR

Thanks to the 2023 Christmas Day blizzard my daughter, JMVonFange, was delayed in heading home so we spent the bonus time together comparing our caching statistics including trackables discovered and looking through our geocaching pictures. JM has discovered significantly more trackables that I have mainly because while we were staying home during the pandemic she spent time online and spotted numerous TBs that were being shared virtually on various social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc. Thankfully, she still had a few notes that helped guide my search for the same trackables that she had already discovered. After looking at the TB page for each of the TBs that she had discovered, I found that a large number all belonged to several individuals and sent a message to them individually inquiring about permission to log their trackables. This travel bug was on the list that you shared with me.
