The original intent of Padlock Pete7 was to travel from cache to cache allowing cachers to try to braek his combination. He was last seen at the Cliffsides & Caverns cache in Massachusetts on August 28, 2005. He is now declared missing! Jack Bauer and his team at CTU (see TV series 24) believe that Pete7 has "GONE DARK" (refuses to communicate due to a high level security risk), and he may be pursuing another mission based on misinformation. As a member of Jack's team, Your assignment is to take this TB to another cache.
Because you hold Padlock Pete7(Gone Dark), you are automatically a member of CTU. Your assignment is to drop this travel bug in another cache so the word gets around that the original Padlock Pete7 TB is missing, he could be in great danger, and he should return to his original assignment. Padlock Pete7(Gone Dark) TB will be terminated once the original Padlock Pete7 is found (see below). Thank-you for your help! Okay, you have your instructions, so get on it ..... NOW! ****************************** CTU BULLETIN: IF YOU ARE HOLDING THE ORIGINAL PADLOCK PETE7 TRAVEL BUG, PLEASE SEND ME AN E-MAIL (rocknrollguitars@hotmail.com). I WILL NOTIFY THE HOLDER OF PADLOCK PETE7(GONE DARK) THAT HE HAS BEEN FOUND AND THE MISSION IS COMPLETE. ONCE THIS IS DONE, PETE WILL GO BACK TO HIS ORIGINAL ASSIGNMENT. The Ax (civilian)

This Traveler is alive & well! While at the final of the challenging The REAL National Treasure? cache in Berlin, Massachusetts, our group discovered a dozen Travel Bugs. They have all been missing for many years from multiple parts of the country, yet apparently were granted amnesty and dropped here recently. I left it for another cacher to retrieve and get back on track.

After a 1,672 Day hiatus, this travel bug is once again on the move.

This gives me a little hope that some of my own long-lost travelers may eventually come back to life.
