Like all geocoins, I know I’m pretty! But please don’t keep me. I would like to travel far and wide, perhaps the other side of the world would be nice, but I’m not greedy, please just move me on. Thanks!
The Might Antar Geocoin was designed by Keith (made by Coins & Pins) a geocacher from The Donut City, (Basingstoke) a term used in the 80’s, by us illegal citizens' band radio hams, we used to drive around with 6 foot aerials stuck on the top of our cars, and have call signs like ‘Silver Dollar’ and wear jackets with badges all over, thinking the police could not see or touch us. The truth be known they were not interested in us, anyway once it become legal and the government issued licences most of us gave up. Well it was no fun any more! The Might Antar was a heavy-duty tractor unit built by Thorncroft, a major employer in the Basingstoke area. For some decades it was the standard tank transporter of the British Army. Thornycroft’s Basingstoke factory was closed in 1969.for more info visit: - www.the-antar.co.uk 10/10 till we do it again.
