About This Item

Our own travelling Yowie - Boof

Boof is more than a travel bug. He is a Yowie, and he carries his own cache including log book (memory stick) and magic ring.

He is on a quest to Ireland to find the little people and enlist their help in conservation. His memory stick carries a full description of his mission - click on boof.htm OR go to www.myrasplace.net/boof/boof.htm and see the same explanation.

Boof carries trade goods for dealing with the Irish. Help him on his way, and leave a note and/or picture on his logbook.

I hope the Yowee King understands 😁

What an uproar amongst the Yowies! The original Boof was gone, and we heard nothing at all from his kidnappers. It can only be assumed that he has been killed and/or eaten.

Strangely, his entire swag and passport (tag) remained at his last seen location (Mt. Stuart) so it is hard to imagine why he was taken. We have a sad image of a tiny cage somewhere, with Boof running round and round...

When the news reached his tribe there was great consternation, and eventually another stalwart stepped forward to take his place. Boof II received the blessing of his King and has left with the human Myra to resume the original mission.

If you meet this Yowie, be gentle with him. He knows nothing of human ways and frightens easily.

This time we are hoping the human magic will take him south, towards Brisbane, and so overseas. Time is running out if he is to be back in time.

Good luck, Boof!

Found that Boof himself has been kidnapped, leaving the dog tags and all his cache behind. Uplifted the whole assembly and took back to Mackay while we await ransom details.

We are almost afraid to tell the Yowie King of the loss...

If nothing happens in 2 weeks, his cousin Scragg will most likely replace Boof and set off anew.

We have a problem. Some person has taken a liking to Boof himself and removed him from his swag and tags.

Yowienapped!

Now of all the dangers we imagined, this was not at all on the list. I am almost afraid to face the King of Yowies with the news.

We can hope that this was some horrible mistake, and that the persons who removed him will send a message and explain their intentions...

Meanwhile we have to counsel all those tearful Yowie maidens.

Wow what an interesting travel bug is old Boof. Sure is quite a swag he has along with him too 🙂 Were heading north towards somewhere with a bigger airport tomorrow 😁
