Current Goal

Eco-Wolf would like to visit the headquarters of DEFENDERS OF WILDLIFE in Washington DC and hopes to be an ambassador for education about his species. Please help him to travel around the country and the world taking many pictures of his adventures.

Many thanks to Huntress#1 and Mike for seeing that Eco-Wolf met his 1st goal to visit Wolf Haven in Tenino, Washington State.

*****************************************************************

WOLF – (Canis Lupus) Class: Mammalia – Order: Carnivore – Height: Up to 32 inches – Weight: Up to 167 pounds – Habitat: Forests of North America, Europe and Asia – Factoid: The wolf is the ancestor of all dog species in the world.
*****************************************************************

“The past few years have made us aware as we have never been before of the depth of kinship among all living organisms…So all life is akin, and our kinship is much closer than we had imagined.” George Wald, Nobel Prize-winning biologist
*****************************************************************

Eco-Wolf’s mission is to help everyone understand that the wolf has a place in wilderness areas. The balance of nature is maintained by nature. It is cyclic, and the ebbs and flows in the cycle help in this very wonderful complex process of natural balance. Predators are a part of this natural balance and as such should not be eliminated. Please visit some of the sites listed to see what’s happening in the world of the wolf and other creatures of the wild.
*****************************************************************

Please avoid bringing Eco-Wolf to Montana and Wyoming. On the whole these states are not wolf tolerant.

In keeping with the owners wishes, it took a little more time than I thought to find a suitable place to put this trackable. It has indeed traveled further west on it's trip to Washington State. This location was selected as a place where there is a high likelihood that it can continue on it's noble trip.

Good hunting Eco-wolf! I enjoyed being a small part of your larger adventure.

Found Eco-wolf at the I-80 rest stop just west of Waukee, Iowa while traveling to Nebraska for business. Eco-wolf enjoyed travel across the state of Iowa on a nice sunny day with recent decent temperatures. Left Eco-wolf in Nebraska at a tourist location for someone to help him continue his journey.
