I am Mac's coin following in his sea-legged footsteps from 60 years ago...he was then an AB in the Merchant Navy. Now he commands an arm chair in Pembroke and will follow this coin's progress with interest. Please post many pics of it's travels thanks.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Mac, but I think your lovely geocoin has been muggled. I found the Filsham Valley cache where it was last logged and the box was empty except for the log book: no treasures at all and yours and the other geocoin that were supposed to be in the log were missing. It's on a footpath used by local youths to race their mopeds, by a fairly rough estate (I used to teach in the school so I know the hairiness of the area!) It was last found back in May by the other person who lost a coin so I think muggles seem the most likely. Very sorry.

We'd been expecting to visit Southampton Docks today, but it's teeming with rain so we'll have to wait a day or two longer.
