Miss Davies was my most memorable teacher - a real old-school teacher who retired in the '60's after teaching us to write with nib pens and an inkwell, parse sentences and behave respectfully to adults (we stood whenever we answered her questions and the whole class stood up whenever the principal came into the room). Having been a teacher myself for over 20 years now I have immense respect for a woman who could control 40 hormonal 12 year olds by merely looking across the desk at them. Thanks for this bug!

My family moved from Toronto to St. John`s when I was half-way through grade 2. My new teacher gave me lots of personal attention to help me catch up to my classmates and make new friends.

I have been teaching for over 15 years. This year, I have been questioning my desire to continue this career or make a change. This was a nice find for me today. Got me thinking twice about leaving this amazing job!
