Current Goal

This Travel Bug needs to move throughout the world trading SWAPS as it goes. If you are or have ever been a Girl Scout or Girl Guide, please swap with me. If you can, please upload a picture of your SWAP and a short description of how to make it. Add your city, state, territory, province, and country to the back of the SWAP. If you are not a Girl Scout or Guide you are still welcome to participate.

About This Item

Original SWAPs TB

Swaps, the tradition of Girl Scouts exchanging keepsakes, started long ago when Girl Scouts and Girl Guides first gathered for fun, song, and making new friends.

Originally, swaps were exchanged at national Girl Scout Senior Roundups and referred to as "Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere."

Swaps are still the perfect way for Girl Scouts to meet each other and promote friendship. Each one is a memory of a special event or Girl Scout Sister.

Time to part ways. I never heard from the owner about changing out the bag so I left it the way it was and added a clip to keep it closed. Good travels.

Took an evening drive up Redington Pass Road (a local dirt road through BLM and Forest Service land climbing from the desert floor up through grassland and then juniper) hoping for a monsoon. No rain, but lots of greenery and it was cooler than the 105 degrees we have been having lately. Spotted a hawk, two tarantulas, and a Colorado River toad (poisonous!) and lots of cool bugs. Wonderful sunset and and Chester the dog and I got two caches and just sat and listened to the desert for an hour after the sun went down.
