Welcome to Tucson, Arizona...a friendly caching destination!
So many miles, so many great places, but no one has added one photo for you. Bummer. Well, let's show them the girl scout/geocaching way!! Again, welcome to Tucson where the temps have been hovering around 104 each day, down from our 110 since our monsoon season has arrived with all its glory! As I type this, the rain is drizzling, the temps have dropped, it is humid and thunder rumbles in the distance. Had to drive through quite the storm to get to this cache to get this one too!
I was a girl scout as well as a girl scout co-leader, Leader, and helper for many many many years! I miss my girls and my troops! I have fond memories of songs, skits, camping hiking, swaps, cookies, competitions, and community service. I took one my troops to Disneyland. One daughter earned her Silver award, the other her Bronze before she had to quit. One was a GS counselor at a GS camp for two years running. Both girls can still light a campfire with one match! :D Anyway, your swap tb is not looking so hot. The bag won't zip shut anymore, so I will put everything, including the tag, into a new ziplock bag. Your old swaps are gone. Now there is a defunct watch, a paper clip and two perfume samples. I added a sample swap made of safety pins and beads. I can remember all the beautiful swaps that my girls received at events...some made with pompoms, popsicle sticks, beads, and foam. All wonderful! Oh, and one troop made little bitty ziplock bag swaps filled with sand and teeny shells, since we lived not too far from the ocean! I am not traveling much, so I can't add lots of miles, but I will provide an abundance of affection and some photos of Tucson! Stay tuned...welcome to the backroads2010 and Chester the dog tour!
