GeoAlterEgo is a letterboxing traveler that doubles as a travel bug.
This will be fun! Letterboxing is a similar pastime to Geocaching. In letterboxing, hunters look for letterboxes that contain a stamp for the letterbox and a log book. They make an impression of the letterbox stamp in their personal logbook and make an impression of their personal stamp in the letterbox log book.
This Traveling Stamp is my alterego. With it, all the carriers of the stamp can stamp GeoAlterEgo's image in every Geocache the travel bug visits! It is like me visting all those places, even though I may be at home writing my thesis!
An added plus: Any letterboxer can make an impression of the stamp in their book and it counts as a "found" letterbox. It would be a great chance for you to become a letterboxer if you would like.
For details about letterboxing, see the website at www.letterboxing.org.
Thanks for carrying my stamp around to another box. I will have fun seeing where it goes.
Note: October 2003:
The log book has been reported missing. If the current holder could add a small log book that would be great! If you have the old log book, please mail it to:
