This is a theme t-bug. This bug was originally placed in the "LR Giving Tree" cache. The bug was attached to a christmas tree ornament. The theme/idea for this bug is that when you recover it, you take the ornament off to keep for your own tree (or just for your own memories), and put another ornament on to replace it. Think of it as a way of spreading holiday cheer, all year 'round.
Note: You don't have to limit it to CHRISTMAS ornaments. It'd be great if someone wanted to attach a star of David or any ornamental thing from any other religion/celebration. Whatever you want to use to symbolize the winter holiday season will be great.
Secondary Goal: As noted, this bug was first placed in the "LR Giving Tree" cache. That cache was placed near a holiday "giving tree" in the forest. A "giving tree" is a living tree, decorated with fruits and seeds for local woodland animals.
So, too keep up the "giving tree" tradition, this bug would love it if you brought a small offering of seeds, nuts or fruits to leave for the animals near the cache where you place this bug.

Wow, 2002, i think this is the oldest trackable I have retrieved. Unfortunately our christmas tree is long since away. I will move you along shortly and hopefully be able to find a little ornament to help spread the cheer.

How AWESOME! Wee Nessie just took the TB from the area in Scotland where my (theoretical) ancestors were from. On the map just north and a bit east if Fraserburgh; one of the homes of the Fraser clan, of which Sims is a Sept. And I happen to be a Sims, and thereby a member of Clan Fraser.
