About This Item

This is almost a historic item! The TB tag itself started in Iraq and travelled to various places there while attached to the owner's GPS. It has also travelled in all of the countries listed above. Originally the TB was used to track the owner's mileage and who he's met along the way for a period of one year. Its current mission became effective on January 1, 2007.

Note: The owner won the TB as a prize at a Christmas Eve 2005 event held in Balad, Iraq (GCR66M). Many thanks go to the generous cachers who donated & sent items to Iraq in honor of the event, and many thanks for thinking of the troops.

One year has passed and this TB has seen 348 caches. It started in Iraq and ended up in Illinois. Not even all of its true miles are logged: it went to Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and even England, but there was no time for me to cache in those places. It has been to some historic places and war-torn areas. It started as a talking TB but evolved almost into a journal for some of my thoughts. It has been a 'tracker' of those I've met along the trails or at events. It was nice to meet those folks, and I hope to see them again. I also will pray for those in foreign lands and hope that I will see them again, too. The New Year is nigh and I hope whoever takes this TB has a peaceful and blessed year.
