Current Goal

To bring awareness of the deaf community to the hearing world. My little girl would love to see family pictures or pictures of those who found it. Sign "I love you" in the pictures if possible!! Everyone knows that sign. If you don't, then just Google "Sign language, I love you sign" and see for yourself.

About This Item

Deaf Awareness Coin

This coin is in honor of my deaf daughter Olivia. She is 5 years old and perfect in every way except that she can't hear. She, along with her brother Jeremiah, are our pride and joy and we love them with all of our hearts.

Olivia likes to go geocaching, and since it was hard to explain the concept of geocaching we told her one day that we were going into the woods to look for Goldilocks and the Three Bears. She calls geocaching "looking for bears".

So if you find this coin pass it along for another family to find while they are out "Looking for Bears".

What a wonderful idea for a coin! I signed with my boys when they were very small and they know a more of it now to communicate with sisters of two of my Cub Scouts (different families) who have autism. Look for pictures once we get back home.
