This Geocoin is a replica of a golden coin (called "stater") of the Celtic (or "Gaulois" in French) tribe Parisii (handmade about 120 BC). These Celts lived for about 300 years before Christ in today's region of Paris and gave their name to the city, which was formerly named Lutetia. They were tough warriors, they fought naked and collected skulls. They feared nothing but that the sky would fall upon their heads and they refused to write down their history.
