To go across the world gathering as much EOD or bomb memorablia as possible and return to Beaumont texas in one year.
About the EOD Badge THE WREATH is symbolic of the achievements and laurels gained by minimizing accident potentials, through the ingenuity and devotion to duty of its members. It is in memory of the EOD personnel who have given their lives while performing EOD duties. THE BOMB was copied from the design of the World War II Bomb Disposal Badge, the bomb represents the historic and major objective of the EOD attack, the unexploded bomb. The three fins represent the major areas of nuclear, conventional, and chemical/biological warfare. THE LIGHTNING BOLTS symbolize the potential destructive power of the bomb and the courage and professionalism of EOD personnel in their endeavors to reduce hazards as well as to render explosive ordnance harmless. THE SHIELD represents the EOD mission which is to protect personnel and property in the immediate area from an inadvertent detonation of hazardous ordnance.
In 2009 this trackable was lost, and to never be found again or so i thought. 05/Apr/2016 This was discovered and actually mailed back to me. What once started in Misawa Japan now travels with me to all my new geocaches that I go to. H has had a long journey since starting out in 2006. Almost 20 years out in the field. I am not sure what the record is for longest lost TB, but I am so grateful this was found and back with me. Never give up on your TB's. You dont know who might have them or discover them.

Well, TheBumpusHounds owes some HUGE apologies! This last week one of the little Hounds found this travel bug in an most unexpected place. Inside a board game that is only used while camping. So.... it seems that all this time, we have been holding BOMBS AWAY, and didn't even know it! We did, in fact, pick it up at The Huron in North Carolina, and it has traveled back across the US and then around Western Washington State with us, as a little stow-away. It was deposited here locally, to continue it's journey. Please accept our apologies :(

I picked this up because of it's significance to me. I was deployed to the embassy bombing in Kenya and the pentagon on 9/11 with VATF1, Fairfax County's USAR team. Thank you for all you do and the dangers you face protecting us. I will try to get something from our police bomb squad and move it along soon.

One of my friends is EOD and so I had to grab this one to show him. He will more than likely spend the next few years doing this and retire but lets hope he and the others who do this make it that far.
