The mission of this bug is to travel throughout all of the Adirondack Park of upstate New York. Please let me see all of the high peaks and river valleys of the Adirondacks and help me stay within the blue line at all times.
This bug is starting in Lake George, New York. It belongs to an Earth Science Teacher, hence the name "Gneiss" Bug. Gneiss (pronounced "nice") is the Metomorphic rock that makes up much of the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York where this bug calls it's home. Take care of him and he will bring you luck! AEL.

found this one in my glove compartment, and dimly remember somebody mailing it to me after the event, but it's been hibernating since then...sorry...
Well, uh... this guy is taking a little vacation to Vermont. Sorry about that, will get him back to the ADK's soon.
Found at 1248 hrs on a mild Febraury day that should have been much colder. Lucky me! Gneiss travel bug, gneiss trek, gneiss day altogether. Thanks!
Grabbed this one out of the Adirondack Traveler. The kids both love rocks (check out our "Cool Rock Cache "). Will move it to a cache within the Blue Line soon. Happy New Year!
