This goecoin would like to travel far & wide, spreading word of the beauty & fun to be found in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada.
The picture on this coin is a take-off on the label of Kokanee Beer ("Brewed right, in the Kootenays!"). The beer is brewed using water from the Kokanee Glacier (which is the snowpatch shown on the coin), and the brand's mascot is the Sasquatch, a mythical creature which apparently has developed quite a taste for Kokanee Beer in recent years. On this coin, Sasq is geocaching - he is holding a GPS receiver & heading towards a cache container. I'm glad to see that Sasq has taken up a healthier pastime than drinking all that beer & hiding from the Ranger!
