I'm not much of a cook myself, but I found the following recipe at http://www.fortunecity.com/victorian/verona/190/eten.htm
A bit weird to call this a local dish, since over here we call it 'Chinese', but it's actually the Dutch version of Indonesian food. Get it? No? Good. Personally, I prefer this with pieces of chicken breast in hot peanut sauce ('sateh ajam').
Nasi Goreng (#2)
INGREDIENTS & INSTRUCTIONS
Cut one pork roast into small pieces
Chop 2 onions
Fry the above separately, drain the pork, put together and add the following spices:
(Mix together in a separate bowl)
6 TBSP Soy Sauce
2 TBSP Brown Sugar
4 TSP Curry
1 TSP Cumin
1 TSP Sambal
Pepper and Salt
Small amount of water
Simmer on low heat for one hour
Make 4 cups of Minute Rice and let cool slightly
When pork is done add the rice to it and mix lightly until all rice is coated.
Top with fried egg and sambal (if desired)
